Explanation of Web Development

Web Development:
Web development refers to the programming of your website and how that programming causes the page to display to visitors. Web development includes the task of constructing the web pages as determined by the design, importing and linking images, adding the copy, creating navigation and devising a linking strategy so your site displays as planned on screen.

World Wide Web programming practices as established by the W3C change regularly over time. We keep informed as to the latest programming standards regarding acceptable code. We make sure the way your web site displays in the browser window follows the latest regulations and standards for code.

Google, Yahoo, MSN and most other search engines need to be able to read and index your web pages — not the way the public views your text — but the way search engine spiders and robots read text when they crawl your site pages. Search engines look for code — code that is compliant and permissible. We provide your site with the highest opportunity to be found and indexed by search engines. Our process guarantees validation and can be checked online using the validation tool which you can find on our site.

Here are the web development levels we currently process:

Simple:

This is a simple layout with an uppermost banner, text link navigation and a footer with primary links, copyright and contact information.

Advanced:
An advanced layout generally refers to a bit more layout creativity with an uppermost banner that may fall into the body of the page. This layout supports  embedding animated graphics, video or slide shows. External cascading style sheet (CSS) keeps your page code lean, which helps web pages load fast. Smart text link navigation or JavaScript navigation menu may be utilized. A footer with primary links, copyright and contact information is always included unless otherwise requested by the site owner.

The site layout also includes a custom 404 error page, a thank you page for your contact form and a protection page for your images. These pages are free and not part of the web pages included with the number of pages ordered for the site.

Complex:
Complex web development refers to an advanced web development that includes much more intricate layouts across several pages and/or the inclusion or PHP programming. PHP can generate HTML, and HTML can pass information to PHP. The optimum situation for a web site is the ability to utilize both of these two powerful tools.

Development time ranges from 4 hours to 12 hours. More time can be allotted as needed for a custom solution. An expandable website means new pages can easily be added to the navigation tree without having to redesign or re-configure the overall web page layout.

An expandable layout is different from a static layout in that the website design appears to use up all the width of the browser window. It expands as the user opens the window wider — as opposed to a static layout that sits on the page with one consistent width and hugs either the left side of the browser window or aligns in the center.
